A visit with Erica

We had a visit with one of my favorite people today, Erica Srini. Here we are hanging out! We went to Graeters and let the kids play and eat ice cream.

Pepsi's Gimme the Mike

Well, Charles performed in the finals on Fox for the local show Pepsi's Gimme the Mike. He was phenomenal. The audience loved him, the four judges loved him. He received a score of 38/40. He didn't win though. The girl who won got one more point (she was a cute little 18 year old blonde). To see Charles in his first performance, the one that won the semi-final round.. visit the
"Gimme the Mike" then click on the "Watch Charles" link next to his picture. They may eventually post his final performance as well. We still think he is the most talented singer in central Ohio.

Campfire Sing-along

Here are some pictures of the campfire sing-along we went to last night. Cole and Juliet had a lot of fun. Juliet in particular really loved to sit in camp chairs, ours and those belonging to others. We appreciate this program at Highbanks park which allows us to enjoy a campfire we don't have to build and some great live music to sing along to. We just bring some marshmallows or hotdogs to roast and it is great!

Indoor Playground

Today was a rainy day, so here we are at the indoor playground. The kids have a really great time there.

These are of Juliet on a small rocking horse. She was galloping away.

Cole asking for the swing and then swinging away!

Cole at school

Today when I picked Cole up from Summer Pre-school I was talking to his teacher, who is the same one that he had during the year. She told me that Cole was just doing great. That she has seen a really big change this Summer. He is picking up on things a lot faster and seems more "with it." I was thrilled to hear that! It was great because she seemed truly amazed rather than the obligatory "yeah, he did good." It made me feel that he has made real progress.

Nursing the neighborhood!

Okay, this may be a somewhat inappropriate story, but I thought it was hilarious! I still nurse Juliet a little bit, and she is a highly verbal 18 month old. Today I had been nursing her and she left and gathered up several stuffed animals and Little People and brought them back to "nurse too" as she said. What a funny, funny kid.

Quick update

I haven't had a chance to take many pictures lately, but here are some pictures I took maybe a week ago while we were playing at the splash pad. I wish I 'd gotten some pictures of the 4th of July. We had a great barbecue at Grandpa Al and Grandma Becky's house and then we took in some fireworks. Cole loved the fireworks and repeatedly leaped into the air when they blasted out shouting "Boom! Go the Fireworks!"

Here is a picture of Daddy and daughter. Hard to see a family resemblance?

Happy, happy boy!
