Family Home Evening

We did manage to get a short FHE in last night. We sang a couple of songs, read and talked about a poem in The Friend magazine and played a couple of games. It was short, but right now I'm just working on making this a regular pattern for the kids. Note to self: Duck, duck goose is not the right choice of games when you only have four people playing and one of them is a little Autistic boy who doesn't quite get the rules and another is a two year old who is following everything her brother is doing. Ring around the rosy worked a little bit better.

We called it "Family Home Moment" for years. It went like this. (Hold up a picture of Christ.) "This is Jesus. Jesus loves you. Mommy and Daddy love you. Let's go eat some ice cream."

Our kids think that FHE is totally awesome even though we've since expanded the lessons and activities. It's all about the sugar, really. ;)
